 My business isn’t large, but since I manufacture overseas, I do need to travel frequently. It has always been a battle for me not to allow my traveling to disrupt business productivity. CYTEXONE set me up with an IP phone system that has made all the difference in the world. I mean, I have been in this business a long time and things have never run this smoothly. When I am away, my laptop functions as my phone. When someone dials my extension in the office, it actually rings on my laptop! They can leave a message and it will show up in my email inbox. I can also dial out this way, just as though my laptop were an office phone. This solution is not only easier but it cut costs significantly. Cellular service overseas is expensive no matter what plan you are on. Like I said, my business isn’t large so every dollar counts. Also, if I’m going to be away for an extended trip, sometimes I literally bring my office phone with me in my suitcase. I know it sounds crazy, but as long as I have Internet access, my phone functions just like it would in my office, no matter where I am.
