Who is CytexOne?
We’re creators of intelligent, connected environments, providing full-service smart hotel and building automation. We’re today’s technology architects for tomorrow’s connected business. We help hotels develop smart technology strategies that engage clientele with connected lighting, surveillance and customized mobile services all at their fingertips through smartphones, tablets and other devices.
What smart hotel technology did CytexOne design and install?
The property boasts state-of-the-art hotel automation solutions and an energy-savings platform that features connected sensors, HVAC, smart lighting and thermostats, automated blinds, locks and room service solutions in each of the 183 guests rooms (including 25 suites) and conference and business rooms.
What kind of savings can the hotel expect based on these automation features?
The automated HVAC systems can save the hotel about 40 percent in energy usage. Hotel management staff can use data collected by sensors to monitor and compare the efficiency of a given block of rooms as compared to another, receive alerts when an AC filter needs to be replaced, or the amount of time housekeeping took to clean a room.
Who controls the smart hotel technology?
Both hotel guests and staff can control the suite of automation features within each room. Automation is also triggered by room occupancy, and the system’s sensors can automatically adjust climate, lighting and shades based on preprogrammed scenes. The entire system is also remotely monitored and managed by CytexOne’s proprietary cloud-based platform, Atlas.
What is Atlas?
Atlas is our secret sauce. Built and designed in-house, it’s our system monitor, reporter and conductor that continuously and proactively detects system stressors, and weak points in HVAC, lighting, and all other in-room automation systems. Atlas automatically adjusts a system’s performance, repairs problems before human detection, and notifies our engineers of a problem – often before a device or system fails.
